In a student’s life, college is the fresh start of life independently. It’s new journey of life that we had to follow all alone without any support.
Everyone had dreamt of working hard, focusing on their studies, making new friends, travelling, falling in love throughout their college life.
Enjoying our hostel and college life what we wish to have because hostel become our second home and friends turned into our family. We laugh, we had fun with them lots of memories are built in these few years of college.
All the first year, new comers thought college life to be the most exciting and interesting part of their living journey. The thought of bunking classes, sitting in cafeteria’s, visiting theatre, travelling to places like Goa, Manali, Ladakh etc. College is all about freedom and living lavishly.
But 2020 gave us just the opposite of what we thought. The word Zoom which we never heard before became a major part of our life . We are only connected via social media and hence, no fun and nothing. No fresher’s party, no travelling. It’s just boring to sit on our monitors and to attend our lectures.
A year had passed, just by attending zoom meetings. And we have neither met our professor nor our batch mates or seniors. How things have become so worse? We hardly had a friend in our college. No, we can say that we hardly had a friend in our zoom college to whom we may share the same vibes but had never met them, and its just difficult to know them virtually. 2020 is the first batch which experienced such a drastic change in the entire educational life.
Zoom classes may sound interesting but experiencing it personally it is frustrating and depressing at the same time.
By elapsing of time the students are being over burdened with lots of works. Our studies have been hampered a lot. We had no experience of college life, we are not aware of the fun and excitement of physical classes, burden of exams while giving in examination hall, we had not been nervous while giving our presentation and Viva and no physical Moot court. Thus, everything is restricted to the zoom meeting.
Our college life seems to be very disappointing. Had never thought of this kind of life. There is no excitement left inside us, for experiencing, and learning new things.
We know that the time is tough and we have to tackle this with lots of sincerity and by cooperating with the government. Above all we are happy that we all are safe and healthy. Everybody knows that the tough time o not last for ever similarly, we will cope up with this corona and eventually the zoom college and start a fresh offline college life again.
