About Akriti:

Hi! I am Akriti Singhal. I am born and brought up in Delhi, currently pursuing BBA LLB from O. P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat. Initially I wanted to become a Microbiology scientist but I entered into this world after watching Bollywood legal films however, I am so glad that I am studying law because I firmly believe people must be aware of their rights and duties which India’s population lacks the most. And now I am in love with the various applications of law.

I love reading and writing. I pass my time reading judgments. My interest lies in Human Rights, Criminal Law as well as Pro Bono work. As a teenager, I love watching Netflix as well as baking new desserts.

I have interned with a few NGOs, Tier II Law firms and a few independent litigators. I love how vast this field is and through internships we can try our hands in a lot of subjects in and around law. Now coming to my internship with Second Innings Consultancy, I am grateful for this internship taught me nuances of drafting articles and academic writing. It was a knowledgeable experience for me. It is so refreshing to meet Aishwarya ma’am as she has such a realistic outlook towards life and she is such an amazing guide for us students.

I have always been against Glorifying Over Work and therefore, in the year 2021, I have decided to launch this campaign “Balancing Life”and talk about this wrong practice, that we have been following since last few years. I will be talking to and interviewing around 1 lakh people in the coming 2021 and publish their interview regarding their opinion on glamourising Over Work.
