In todays world of abundence of crime the prison system was evolved keeping in mind that people, who have done wrong in their life and have started proving harm to the society, where the prisonor should be kept in confinement for some time and bestow them with a scant chance to ameliorate and reform themselves by the way they learn not to astray from their respective goals again . This idea is curbed well in cases of theft, robbery and other minor offences. Herculean Complications and obstacle arise, when the offence involves brutal and inhuman acts like murders, rape, mass-killing etc. So,the deciding factor for execution is the controversial part is the gravity of crime which pertains to the laws that govern our society.
Before moving futher we must know what Capital punishment is .So it is a legal procedure whereby a person is put to death by the state as a sort of punishment for a crime done. As the demand for human rights are high on pace, taking away a criminal’s life is the most controversial issue these days,. This talked about thing not only at the national level, but also at the global platform as a whole. Interestingly, the emergence of this execution extends to the beginning of recorded history and those historical records of various civilisation and primitive tribal practices stipulate that death penalty was a scant part of their justice system.
Now capital punishment stands in great vexed issue over the right of society at large to rebuff a right of person to life. Some people believe that no one has the right to take away anyone’s life for any respective reason. Even living in male chauvinistic society where man cannot always play God’s role niether he should ever try .
When one cannot give life, one has no right to take away anybody’s life.
On the very next coin, people also emphasize on consideration that victim’s right to life. As per the criminal too has no right to take away anyone’s life for any reason at all. So, if he could reach to this extent of taking away someone’s life, he too has no right to live in a civilised society as well. Divergent arguments on both sides can be cited to support viewpoints that are indeed at two different poles .
Culminating further in my opinion , death penalty is indeed a severe punishisment but nowadays its the pressing need.
As per wholely considering the fact some of studies have been witnesses about studies explaining that a death penalty is an effective form of deterrence, there is conclusive paucity evidence to prove that people are dissuade. The death penalty, therefore, is not effective and should be totally banned.
