Citations are the references to authorities in support of legal propositions.
Eg :- Citation of cases, citation of books, citation of articles.

Article 141 of the Constitution of India provides that the law declared by the Supreme Court shall be binding on all courts within the territory of India. A legal principle laid down authoritatively by the Supreme Court forms a rule for subsequent cases of similar material facts.
