Various activities can contribute to global climate change. Temperatures can rise drastically as a result of climate change. Many diverse changes happen to earth as the temperature rises. More floods, droughts, or heavy rain, can be direct effect of this. This are followed by frequent and severe heat waves. Oceans and glaciers have also changed over time: they have warmed and become more acidic, glaciers have melted, and sea levels have risen. These changes will certainly pose problems to our society and environment when they occur more regularly in the next decades.
Increased volumes of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases are being pumped into the atmosphere by human activities throughout the last century. The majority of the gases are released as a result of the combustion of fossil fuels for energy. Greenhouse gases act as a blanket over the Earth, trapping energy and causing the planet to warm. This is known as the greenhouse effect, this is natural and is required for life to exist on Earth. When greenhouse gases accumulate in the atmosphere, the climate shifts. This is dangerous to people’s health and ecosystems. These climate changes may result in a warmer environment. It causes changes in our water sources, agriculture, electricity and transportation networks. Some climatic changes are unavoidable there is very little that can be implemented to prevent them. Carbon dioxide, for example, may remain in the atmosphere for over a century, implying that the Earth will continue to warm in the future.
Throughout Earth’s history, the climate has cooled and warmed for a variety of reasons. Rapid global warming, such as we are witnessing now, is unprecedented in our planet’s history. Some of the variables that influence climate are volcanic eruptions and variations in solar radiation. Climate change can occur if the amount of solar energy reaching the Earth changes. Volcano eruptions have a significant impact on climate because they produce more than just lava and ash when they erupt. Volcanoes spew sulphur dioxide-based particles into the sky.
These particles penetrate the stratosphere, where they reflect sunlight back into space. Snow and ice also have an impact on climate change. When snow and ice melt, less energy is reflected, resulting in even more heat. Plants, animals, and other kinds of life on our planet all have varying effects on climate. Some individuals are capable of producing greenhouse gases, which trap heat and contribute to global warming. Plants employ photosynthesis to manufacture their food, which removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Throughout the night, plants release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Methane is created when agricultural animals such as cattle and sheep digest their meal.
People will go extinct from the earth’s surface in the not-too-distant future if we do nothing. However, if we solve these challenges instead of ignoring them, we will be able to save the world and our future. Despite the fact that humans have significantly harmed the climate and environment. It is not too late to start over and try to undo the damage we have done to the environment thus far. And if everyone starts contributing to the environment, we can be guaranteed of our future survival.
