CYBER LAWS.

“The thief of modern era can steal more with a computer than with a gun. The terrorist of the future my be able to do more damage with a keyboard than with a bomb.”

It is a globally accepted fact that the internet has changed everything from pin to plane. It has changed the way we think, the way we expect, the way we sell and purchase and most importantly the way we perceive ourselves. Internet is spread all across the globe, today it has reached even at places where human never thought it could ever reach. It helps us in all walks of life. Every coin has two sides in the same way internet has its own pros and cons. Rampant use of internet is creating various wrongs some reported, and some remain unreported. Use of internet is creating various criminal, moral and civil wrongs which are disturbing law and order in the society. Cyberspace has provided huge number of opportunities to people to express their criminal tendencies. Yes, we do have laws to maintain law and order, but these laws are quite obsolete as compared with cyber-crimes which are new although capable of causing damage more than that of a nuclear bomb. The obsolete laws are not able to cover all the aspects regarding different types of activities that takes place in the cyberspace. In order to deal with these challenges, it becomes quite mandatory to have an appropriate supporting infrastructure which helps to cope up with the challenges.

There are various legal issues associated with cyberspace and all these issues can be dealt only with the help of cyber laws. In the current scenario, where everything is digitalized from documentation to education to currency, things have to be governed by laws specifically cyberlaws in order to avoid misuse and misconduct. For instance, Almost all exchanges in shares are in Demat form. Almost all organizations widely depend upon their PC systems, what’s more, keep their significant information in electronic form.Government structures including personal assessment forms, organization law structures, so on are presently filled in electronic forms.

The question that rises after reading long about cybercrimes is, the way to safeguard ourselves from cyber-Crimes?
We can do this by keep everything updated
Many large computer companies are issuing regular updates to guard against emerging risks. Keep your software and apps updated. to create it easier, activate automatic updates if possible. Also, take care to put in software to scan your system to detect viruses and malware, to catch anything that may pass.
Use unique and powerful password combinations.
It is important to use different passwords for every site and not for straightforward hacking. Choose the one with a minimum of 14 characters long. Consider starting along with your favorite sentence and using the primary letter of every word. make certain to alter any default factory passwords, like those who include your Wi-Fi router or home security devices. A password manager program can facilitate you create and remember complex, secure passwords.

Cyber theft, cyberbullying, cyber abuse, breach of data, spamming has become quite common with the passage of time. Now, the need of the hour is to make the population able enough to handle the situation by giving them proper education regarding cyber laws and cyber-crimes and how one can save themselves.
