Introduction

5 years of digital india has been completed and almost 25 years years of using internet services has also been completed. In case of digital adoption our country india is on second rank and on the top most position china is there. And it is also estimated that by 2020, digital economy is going to cross 1 trillion dollar. And in india global IT backoffice of almost every multinational company is present in india because there is effective human resource cost. So these are the some points about the introduction of digital india.

Vision of digital india

Digital infrastructure should be as a utility to every citizen by providing high speed internet facilities in not only urban areas but also in rural area on affotdable cost so thst every one can afford the cost of internet.so that internat is available to every hands. Cradle to grave digital idenrtity which is unique, lifelong, ponline authenticable. Mobiole phone and bank account enabling participationin digital and finance and financial space. And there shold be easy access to the common service centre. Shareable private space on a public cloud. Safe and secure cyber security shold be tgere so that any hacking or data leaking problems shouls not be there and everyone can use these digital programs efficiently and without taking any tention while using them.

Objectives of digital india  

The main objective is to prepare india for a knowledge future. The basic line which is used to describe the objective of digital india is that, for being transformative that is to realize IT (Indian talent) + IT (information technology) = IT (india tomorrow). And making technology centre to enabling change and also on being an umbrella programme which will cover many departments. And also it will help to increase in employment opportunities in the country.

The programme weaves together a large number of ideas and thoughts into a single, comprehensive vision so that each of them is seen as a part of a larger goals. The digital india programme will put together many existing schemes which would be restructured and refocused and implemented in a synchronised manner.

Pillars of this scheme

There are 9 pillars for this digital india scheme which are as follows

Initiatives

Digillockers – it is a digilocker service operated by the government of india that enables induan citizens to store certain official documents on the cloud. The service is aimed towards reducing the need to carry physical documents.

BHIM app – it is an app to enable digital payments, this app is used to facilitate 913 million transactions in 2017-18.

Challenges

  • Slow roll out of wifi hotspots and the slow speed, in comparison to other developed nations
  • Most small and medium scale industry is struggling to adapt to modern technology.
  • Entry level smartphones have limited capabilities for smooth internet access, and the outreach of the smartphone is limited.
  • There is an absence of enough skilled manpower in digital technology.

I have always been against Glorifying Over Work and therefore, in the year 2021, I have decided to launch this campaign “Balancing Life”and talk about this wrong practice, that we have been following since last few years.
