Divorce is a process by which the marriage between two grown-ups reaches a conclusion to end their marriage end which might be solemnized under various laws like Hindus which incorporates Sikhs, Jains, the Hindu Marriage Act,1955 administer Buddhists while Christians are represented by Indian Divorce Act, 1869 and the Indian Christian Marriage Act,1872.
The Muslims are represented by the Personnel laws of Divorce and furthermore the Dissolution of Marriage Act,1939 and the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Divorce) Act,1986. Also, Parsis are administered by Parsi Marriage and Divorce Act-1936. Aside from the above laws, different marriages are represented by the Special Marriage Act,1954.
Section 13B, embedded in the Hindu Marriage Act in 1976 to present separation through common assent, accommodates a total of 18 months before a decree for Divorce can be passed.
