Sometimes, it is important that we listen to our hearts. Sometimes, it is important that we ignore logic.
We women are often taught right from our childhood, that we are not permitted to dream. We are often told that it is our duty to serve our family members and only then we can be happy in our old age. The society completely forgets and ignores that we women also have our own set of feelings. It is perfectly ok to have your dreams and to follow them.
It is perfectly normal to love your dreams more than your spouse. What is not perfectly ok is to compromise your marriage and your dreams.
Remember one thing life is not perfect like a bollywood movie or those Romantic novels that you must have read. Life comes with its own set of unseen challenges. We often fail to read about failure stories, that is something that is probably wrong in our education system. We are always taught the way to succeed and the things that success will bring to us but we are seldom taught on how to handle failure. We are all often taught to follow the herd so that sucess follows us. Well only if you love the job you do, then success will follow you.
We just have one gift called life and it is never going to take a U Turn, it is upon us on how we manage to break the stereotypes set by the society and excel. Following your heart is not something wrong. Infact, following your heart will always take you one step closer to your dreams. And any Love always has a risk. If you follow your heart, it will be easier for you to feel less guilty and concentrate more on your goals.
So stop being guilty, Follow your Heart and take that giant leap towards your destiny. This post is part of BlogChatter’s A2Z Blogging festival .https://www.theblogchatter.com/all of April where I’m writing about how I have restarted my career Unapologetically.

I will be talking to and interviewing around 1 lakh people in the coming 2021 and publish their interview regarding their opinion on glamourising Over Work.
