G- Handling the Guilt Factor – #BlogchatterA2Z2021

Guilt is a feeling that always follows us.
It is an involuntary emotion.
No matter how much we try and avoid it, it is always a part of us.
If we do not have guilt in our heart.
The Society will ensure that it makes us feel guilty suffiently.

Mother’s Guilt is the most challenging feeling that every woman goes through, right from the time her child is born.

You do not have sufficient Breast Milk – Make her feel guilty for the same.

You want to resume your work so soon ? Your child is barely a few months old – Make herfeel guilty for the same.

You want to quit your job and leech on your husband’s salary – Make her feel guilty for not being independent and wanting to depend on her husband.

Her Children are not doing well in studies – Make her feel guilty for being ignorant.

Her Children are not disciplined and naughty – Make Her feel guilty for not paying attention to them.

The list is endless. The society will never leave any opportunity to make you feel guilty for your action or inaction.

Post the birth of your child, your life is bound to change and it is perfectly normal. It is perfectly normal to face post partum depression. and be confused. Stop falling into the trap of being perfect. There is no need to be that perfect wife, daughter, mother, daughter in law, sister in law. You are beautiful with your flaws.

From the time a person is born they are responsible for their actions and inactions. Yes, the children do need the help of their parents till a certain age, but subsequently, they are responsible for their own things. Stop feeling guilty and helpless because you could not do anything for them. Your Husband is a mature adult who should be able to take care of himself. Stop feeling guilty because you did not cook a 5 course lavish meal for him 3 times on a Sunday. Remember that you are a human being with human limitations.

For Heaven’s sake cut off those people from your lives who constantly keep comparing you to others. Everyone has their own share of struggles and no two people have the same challenges. We can learn from other’s way of handling their problem but we cannot assume that the same formula will work for us. The grass is always greener on the other side.

So, stop being Guilty
Go and enjoy your beautiful life.
Rise and Shine my lady...
Life is too beautiful to be covered by Clouds of Guilt.
