Gender inequality in India

Gender equality refers to any type of discrimination and inequality that individuals face due to their gender identity.

Many middle eastern countries, including India face the problems caused due to gender equality.

Discrimination exists because of cultural differences, geographical differences, and gender inequality.

Gender is a concern that is prevalent in the entire world. Even in the 21st century, across global men and women do not enjoy equal privileges.

As per the world economic formals gender gap ranking, India stands at rank 108 out of 149 countries. This rank is a major concern as it highlights the immense gap in opportunities in women with comparison to man. In Indian society, long time back the social structure has been such that the women are neglected in many areas like education, decision-making, financial independence and so on.

When a child is in mothers wob, In many parts of India, illegal sex determination practices are still present and in test if there is a girl child she can be killed in wob which is known as female foticide.

The birth of male child is celebrated with great order but the birth of female child is treated as a disgrace.

Girls are even forced to statistics almost 42/ of married women were  forced to marry in less age and according to UNICEF 1 out of 3 child brides in the world is a girls belonging to India.

Another main reason which contributes to the discriminating contributes to the discriminating behaviour towards women in India,in the dowry system because of this women are considered to be as a burden on parents. Preference for body child is still praviles in India.

Women are not entitled to equal job opportunities and wages. In 21st century women are still preferred to household works quits their jobs after marriage.

For overall well being and growth of a nation, Scoring high on gender equality is the most curcial aspect. Countries with less disparity in gender equality have progressed  lot.

The government of India have to take steps to ensure gender equality. Several laws are made and execution of that laws in a proper manner can encourage girls.

Awareness of women rights can be spread everywhere. In addition the government should take initiatives to check the correct and proper implementation of rules.
