Husband support towards the wife.

India is a developing country in every aspect including its society. Indian society well let’s say it is still backwards in few aspects. Few families don’t even let their daughter-in-law do the job and humiliate them too. It’s then their husband support that gives them strength and courage to speak up. Husband trust and support are indeed important, in India, it is very very indeed.
If your husband won’t pay heed to you, neglect you, then the in-laws see you as nothing. They never become tired of taunting you. Women feel useless, worthless.

In our home, our neighbour we can find someone like this. Our daily soaps are the best example of the same.We can find a naive girl getting married into a big city family. Unaware of anything she just does everything wrong. Instead of telling her anything, her in-laws just taunts her and shows her financial status etc etc. I think in some aspect daily soaps meet the reality.

Many families choose a bride for their son from a lower financial family than there’s. I don’t know why they do but they do. Maybe just to look down at them. It’s then the husband who can protect his wife from his own family. His one support can be everything for his wife. Unfortunately, men don’t interfere in their familys’ women fight which isn’t wise. They should speak up against what’s wrong even if their own family is doing wrong.

What’s the life of girls/women in India? Those who live in cities are in a good position but what about those who belong to villages. Their parents see them as a burden. Though, dowry is illegal but who marries a girl without it? No one fights or raise their voice against it because they know if they will, then no one will ever marry their daughter.

That’s why in my view banning something isn’t a solution. Unless and until we change the mentality of all people. I know I would take time, a lot of time. But I hope that times come soon.

If you made this far, thank you. Comments and ratings are highly acceptable.
