The act consists of Stalking as an offense under Section 35D of the IPC (Indian penal code).
This act states that, any individual who-
- Contacts and follows women or tries to contacts such individuals to proselytize private communication time and again in spite of being a clear indication of disinterest by the women or;
- Observe the use of a woman over the internet, immediate messages, e-mail, or some other shape of digital verbal exchange is the offense of stalking. Racism is likewise a component of cyberstalking.
