ONLINE EDUCATION DURING COVID

Most of us are well acquainted with now-days scenario where Corona , deadly pandemic accelerating on peak we are grappled with the ONLINE EDUCATION . From 4 year kid to professionals all are caught in the cobweb of online platform. Indeed , it become a mandatory part of our lives we can’t even imagine our lives growing without these online classes. Even shutdown schools and education institutions impact lives of ,we students , children and their parents. In effect with this, the government has been encouraging online education to reach to academic continuity. Mostly, plethora of high-end private and public institutions and sky-edged universities have made the switch burnishedly while using online platforms like Zoom, Google classrooms, Cisco. Microsoft teams, etc., while on other hand detect it as herculean task .
Multifaceted challenges of online education are in sooth a difficult task to cater . It is the time of unity where we Indians, as a society, understand the realms of online education in India, for the sake of India.

Infact this is the first time in India where we have moved towards online classesand Educational institutions had to manage their teaching practices by the way of online mode.

THE GOOD
Online education provides a learner with unlimited scope of knowledge and expertise in niche subjects which is otherwise not affordable or imaginable for many. Online programs bestow people of a wide age group to learn at their own pace, without inhibitions, and without compromising on their responsibilities
The paranoiding emergence and proliferation of COVID-19 in India, online education has trickled down to the very basic level in schools and colleges! Examining the experience with online teaching and their understanding, a student from a college in Bengaluru address, “The online option is a need in this pandemic situation. It has brought education to us without us going anywhere, and it is more flexible”. Infact most of the students realize it as it a welcome amelioration from strict schedules and long-distance commutes to attend classes early in the morning . This may be a less stressful option for some other students, who perceive learning in large classes intimidating. Most of the teachers leaving their no stone unturned to make students fully acquainted with proper acknowledgement with best of their abilities even in this situation by exploring new methods of teaching and assessment Making students, find it more interesting and easy to learn.

THE BAD
No doubt this mode in abundance is encouraging. But the moment online education moves from an optional mode to the only form of learning, and for colossal period of time, the bad and the ugly consequences are gradually become evident and this is the only time in India where testimony of its taste is evidently witnessed.

Although, in most of the phases it is glimpsed that inspite of taking the classes regularly and properly some students grappled themselves with variety of games and social media which consequently result in retardation in their studies.

Where Body language and eye contact are important cues for the teacher to truly examine the deposition of students nowadays its indeed a arduous to perceive through the way in an online class. “I do not receive continual feedback in the form of students’ reactions during online sessions, which reduces the effectiveness of teaching”, says a college teacher in suburban Mumbai. Did we know how many students have paid attention in a class? From those, how many understood the lesson properly? Are any of students left behind?
Even though these questions also arise in traditional classrooms, but they in the virtual scenario its harder to address in online classes. A parent of an 8year-old attending a private school in Gurgaon says, “There shouldn’t be online classes for such young kids. Their concentration span is small and they do not pay attention after a while.” The 8year-old added, “I hate them (online classes)!”. Hence, these days students find it testimony of ennui and impact their academic performances drastically.

At the end , caricaturing all the facts its all and all upto us only that in what way we take these classes , taking it linentlly result in making ourselves a bit more lethargic with our studies and a quick drip in our academic performances will clearly visible and on the other hand taking it seriously will assist us more efficiently pace one step more closer to our desired goals!
