Getting your priorities has always been a challenge. A lot of times for us Women, our priorities have revolved around the priorities of others. We have always been told that as women if you think about your own priorities you are a selfish person and a selfish person does not belong to a family set up. This is one common nonsense notion that our society has built aroung us. There are times, when we need to select our priorities.
Remember one thing. Nobody has a perfect life. Every individual has their own set of challenges to face early in the morning. If you think that people with money have it smooth, then no, not necessarily. Even if you have all the money in the world, it ultimately boils down to your right priorities. If you cannot priorities your work and your personal life, then you may end up messing everything around you.
How do I prioritise my work ?
Well the first thing is to find out what is the most important task that needs your immediate attention. Concentrate on that task and then move ahead with the second task.
Always remember one thing, while prioritising your immediate need, do not take the decision on the basis of your emotion. Take your decisions based on logic. Yes, sometimes our kids decide to throw tons of tantrums when we are working just because they think that they need immediate attention. In such a case, take a break of 5 minutes and listen to them. If you loose your temper, you may end up only getting more frustrated and end up loosing your concenration. Sometimes, a small break of 5 minutes during your work, will help you in building a strong relationship with your near and dear ones.
Apart from Priorities, the other P that a person should possess is Patience
Patience plays a huge role in your career. Rome was not built in a Day and therefore you cannot be a perfect human being over night. We are all flawed human beings, who need to be loved and cared about. So try and be patient in the challenging situations. If you lack patience, then do join a good mediatation class. For me I recite Ganapati Stotra or Hanuman Chalisa, when I feel that the situation is way out of my hand. Patience is one big virtue that you can develop.
