PAIN AND LIFE – there’s life in pain

A dentist’s appointment, a heartbreak, a broken hand all are manifestations of not just pain but also fear. Fear of pain. And pain of fearfulness in return. It’s a Vicious cycle. You get rid of one thought to just enter into another.

Pain has an end if we agree to end our own miseries. One’s own miseries lie in their inferiorities and doubts. Doubts in one’s own self and insecurities. Insecurities about shortcomings that we maginify. Things that people hardly notice. For example, a scar on your face. You may hide it and conceal it . Although no one notices it apart from you. Maybe your anxiousness will make people look at that very scar you were hiding.

The same is with pain. The more we bring it to the fore, the more it hurts. They say, out of sight is out of mind. And rightly so. If I stop thinking about my miseries for a moment and concentrate on gratitude, maybe that’ll help me but it doesn’t. Some chain of thoughts just don’t break. It is a domino effect wherein all negative thoughts engulf one.

The only solution is gratitude. Counting blessings isn’t a miniscule thing. Feeling grateful of the love in our lives, of the people we have around us, of the opportunities we have in front of us are all examples of realisation. Realisation of the fact that I AM . And I’m bound to be happy no matter what.

Pain will only increase if we become self centred and selfish. Pain of the body is an amalgamation of pain in our hearts and soul. The negative energy that amasses us has increased. Such negative energy can do no benefit to the personality. Pain is a part of life. Be it inner or outer pain. Be it visible or invisible pain. Be it the pain you cause or are given that pain. It all goes round what we give around.

Bhagwat Gita talks of action and inaction. We can’t expect something to happen out of the blue. There are no accidents. Only a devoted mind towards deligent actions can cause a task, not inaction and mere idea of it. Although the power of the mind is magnanimous. And can transgress humanly powers and change the world.

All religions of the world talk about emancipation from the cycles of birth and death. From pain to liberation. From sufferings to salvation. If in this life you could help someone, then feel free my friend. If you could do something and not feel arrogance in your heart then kudos to you, my friend. If you could be yourself and not feel small then I rejoice at your joy.

Joy and pain go hand in hand. Experience of the inexpressible go hand in hand. You and I are just like wagons of a train waiting to be detached and attached to one another, only to move ahead in life. Only to feel the pain again and learn lessons of life.
