Agriculture is a backbone of our country. I have been doing farming successfully in my land. This year we have sowed paddy in my land. Umpteen people’s known about what’s paddy… paddy is produced a rice. Rice is our staple food, yet not many people know, how Rice is produced.
First stage of paddy
First, we need a clear land, which has to be ploughed for sowing paddy seeds. One sack of paddy seeds, is kept in the water for two days before sowing. This same wet paddy is then sown into the land. When you plough the land, ensure that there is enough water left on all the four sides. Paddy seeds grow into a small sapling in two to three days, but it takes two days to grow completely. After twenty days these small paddies are then shifted to a larger field, which is big enough for the paddy to grow. One should be careful that while, sowing paddy there should be enough mud and water, also do not forget to use the fertilizers.
Keep a check on weeds
After a month into the growth of the paddy, there is a possibility, that there may be weeds around your paddy. Ensure timely removal of weeds so that the plant grows well. It is also important to use fertilizers and pesticides within timely interval.
Harvesting process…
The final stage of the Paddy’s life is the Harvesting Season, which generally happens after 3 to 4 months. These days we use Harvest Machine to split the paddy and hay. It is important to keep the paddy heaps in the sunlight. It takes 3-4 days for the paddy to dry completely. Once it is completely dry, we keep the paddy in sacks.
Paddy produced rice…
We consume rice daily but we just don’t know, how much efforts it takes to cultivate the same rice. This is just the short procedure. I have not mentioned the daily efforts of a farmer to remove the weeds and ensuring the proper water supply. Sometimes, unseasonal rains, just cause more trouble to the farmers.
So, think twice before you waste that grain of rice on your plate. IF you do not wish to eat so much, take less amount of food during your first serving itself.
