Right to Die – Part 1

ABSTRACT

The topic is basically about the Right to Die as given in the Constitution of India. Right to Die is something which makes a person enable to cause harm to himself in order to get relief from the stress, depression, sadness, mental torture, anxiety, fear of failure etc in the society where the level of competition is getting intense, the fear of failure has made people to commit suicide which is punishable under SECTION 309 of the IPC. The biggest problem with the common citizens of the country is that they are unable to take unbearable pain, emotionally drained and most importantly they lose their confidence in themselves because of the feeling of hopelessness, fear of failure, bad incident which happened with them and many other reasons which makes them mentally weak, emotionally stressed, losing coolness, harming oneself and many other things which results in negative thoughts and mental stress among the human beings. Euthanasia is a practice or an act by which a person suffering from painful and incurable disease is put to death in order to end the suffering of that person. This can be done in the following ways-

. By incapacitating physical disorder

. By withdrawing treatment is a passive means to cause death

. By introducing something is an active means to cause death

. By withdrawing artificial life-support system

. When Physician some medicine and patient or third person administer it to cause death this is called as Physician-assisted death

With the fast growing world and the rapid changes that has been around the world, people are getting depressed, frustrated and even think that committing suicide is the only option left for them in order to get relief from the sadness, depression and many other negative thoughts which revolve around their mind and hence to get relief from all these things, death is the easiest solution according to them as they could not adopt to changes and societal pressure makes them difficult to survive in this competitive world and hence Right To Die becomes more applicable under such situations. Right to Die is not decided mandatorily by an individual himself but the environment and situations around an individual compels him to take such an extreme step and hence Right to Die holds such an importance in the Indian. We shall be studying all these things in detail with the help of this project.
