Role of Judiciary

Because the court is apart from the executive, it can readily protect citizens’ rights and maintain peace and concord. Its function, however, is not confined to this. It performs a variety of functions to ensure that the country runs smoothly.

For starters, it has a significant impact on the creation of new legislation. The judiciary has the authority to interpret both our constitution and current laws. It has the authority to enact new laws and to overturn regulations that may be in violation of the Constitution.

In addition, the judiciary guards against any type of legal infraction. It also launches a lawsuit against the person who is found guilty of the same offense. After then, a judge renders his decision after carefully listening to both sides and announcing the outcome.

It also serves as a consultative body. The executive or legislature frequently seeks the assistance of the judiciary in order to clarify constitutional difficulties.

Furthermore, the judiciary decides on constitutional issues. If there is a dispute between states, for example, they are brought before the Supreme Court, which decides how to interpret the constitution based on the current conflict. It also handles after the administrative side of things. It is in charge of appointing officers, keeping records, managing personnel, and more.

The judiciary is, above all, the guardian of citizens’ fundamental rights. Fundamental rights belong to everyone; unfortunately, some people want to take them away. As a result, the judiciary assures that nothing like this happens and that all citizens can live in peace.

In today’s scenario, it’s critical.

A strong judiciary is essential to the survival of a democracy like ours. As we all know, incidences of injustice against people have become more common in recent years. Unfair discrimination is occurring, and the judiciary must intervene to put an end to it.

As a result, it is more crucial than ever to assist individuals in feeling comfortable in their own country and homes. The judiciary serves as a check and balance for those in positions of authority. This reduces the likelihood of someone abusing their power.

In short, in today’s situation in our country, where crimes are occurring at an alarming rate, people look to the judiciary for answers. As a result, we can understand how crucial it is for the court to stay just and powerful in the face of adversity. It is sometimes the only source of hope for individuals, which is why it is required now more than ever.
