Sexual harassment is considered as one of the crime that effects physically as well as the mentally sexual harassment is now every where and in work places it growing very fast. Sexual harassment in the workplace is any sexually defined unwanted behavior the purpose or effect of which is to unreasonably interfere with personal job performance or create an intimidating, hostile, abusive or offensive work environment so for this lots of laws are applicable to the persons or women’s. A law that protects women from sexual harassment in the workplace and prevents and corrects reports of sexual harassment and related or incidental matters. The sexual harassment violates women’s fundamental equal rights as According to Articles 14 and 15 of the Indian Constitution and their right to life and the right to live with dignity.
According to Article 21 of the Constitution and the right to engage in any occupation. Or engage in any profession, trade or business, including the right to enjoy a safe environment free from sexual harassment and consider the protection from sexual harassment and the right to work with dignity. A human right generally recognized by international conventions and instruments, such as – Elimination the Convention on All Forms of Discrimination against Women, approved on June 25, 1993, came from the Indian government, and considers that regulations should be passed to make the above-mentioned Convention come into effect to protect women from sexual harassment in the workplace.

Internal complaints committee- local complaints committees within the organization: If you are an employee of an organization that does not have an internal complaints committee because there are fewer than 10 employees. If the complaint is against the employer and the person believes that the case may be harmed, they can also file a complaint with the LCC.
For situations where the LCC may not be able to access immediately, the bill instructs district officials to designate a node officer in each neighborhood in rural or tribal areas, taluka and tehsil, and districts or municipalities in urban areas, and they will receive complaints and report 7 Send it to the corresponding LCC in a few days. In India we have seen how the sexual harassment increases rapidly and some of the recent cases such as:-
- The actresses made many accusations against their directors and fellow directors.
- Even a former foreign minister was accused of sexual harassment by no less than 10 female journalists.
- After this development, women have been venting their experiences and traumas, mainly on social media such as Twitter and Face book.
- Testimony came mainly from the film industry and mainstream media, including work and personal space.
- These testimonies range from attack stories to propositions, from suggestions to tracking.
- Nowadays, in India, there are many problems. Perhaps most disturbing, officials have long been silent about open secrets.
For sexual harassment have several punishments like for the first conviction imprisonment up to three years and a fine. And for more than one conviction punishment should be increase that imprisonment up to five years and a fine. For the sexual harassment at work place person can be filed the case under the section 354 and 509 of I.P.C. As it is considered as the global problem women’s suffered a lot because of it.
