when nationalism becomes extremism

Nationalism is a very good ideal. It is one of the core keys to a good citizen. The feeling of dong something and returning to one’s homeland is a good and modest one, but in an excess it may turn into a dark obsession. Over the years we have seen examples of such unfortunate fate. Nationalism in its extreme become chauvinism, a belief or emphasis that one’s own motherland outlets other countries n all ways, this belief is poisonous as it leads to envy when other nations make progress. Such believers don’t see the progress as a global benefit but only as a insult to the glory of their country. And often, many extremist groups take armed action to bring down their own country infrastructure and reforms.

One very bad form of this chauvinism is one against the ethic group. There are some people who take a comment to another meaning or an action to another. The youth today is rebellious raged they don’t think things calmly and tend to resort to violence, curfew’s, bands, strikes road rage, you name it and they do it. People of a country have to understand hat country is a piece of the world and its development is good thing nations have to move on from their better part to worst part together and for that a pacifist and calm citizens need to come forward and spread the required wisdom major example seen in west as well as east, such discrimination or hatred might be originated due to a dent in the past. The extremist ideas add to the past grudge and make it a vicious loop of hatred and death. What is unfortunate is that an innumerable incident has died for the sake of this stupid echo of a past dystopia. What one forgets is that nationalism lies not in the loud yet hollow appraise of the motherland but in the shadowed deep actions taken for it. For instance. One may not feel like shrieking ‘jai Mata di” or “Bharat Mata ki jai” in a crowd, but that is individual choice, individual freedom. It doesn’t define that he is a traitor to the land and its men. What is shameful that extremist marches flag or mob-lynch people unwilling to say it. Lives are lost in a  for loud allegiance. No person deserves to die for such a puny cause.

Throughout history, people have had an attachment to their kin group and traditions territorial authorities and their homeland, but nationalism did not become a widely recognized concept until the end of the 18th century. There are three paradigms for understanding the origins and basis of nationalism. Primordial ism proposes that there have always been nations and that nationalism is a natural phenomenon. Ethnosymbolism explains nationalism as a dynamic evolutionary phenomenon and stresses the importance of symbols, myths and traditions in the development of nations and nationalism. Modern theory proposes that nationalism is a recent social phenomenon that needs the socioeconomic structures of modern society to exist.
