It is very important.

If you can’t ask a question then a fundamental liberty that most of us take for granted is denied.

Ignorance takes root. Creativity, understanding and knowledge can get trampled.

A bad question is better than no question.

We learn and grow when we have a rich environment filled with sources that allow us to explore and ask questions.

Yes, we can get led astray or be misinformed. We can also learn and change our mind. Grow as an individual.

The particular merit of a question is another topic. The danger here is what is a stupid question? Who asked the question?

I am always of the opinion that the evolution and development of human beings must have started with a question.

The famous question as to which came first, egg or chicken, is not applicable in the case of Quora. Undoubtedly, it was a question first.

Questions are the wheels which have keet the world of Quora moving so far with so many visitors to find information and knowledge. This quest will continue day by day with more joining it.

Not everything you want to know can be attained by reading books and other sources. True intellectual progress arises by questioning what you already know . by constantly quizzing ourselves and challenging our understanding , we obtain a deeper truth which could never be obtained from books or other source.

Questions brings others into the conversation … by asking questions and then listening you provide inroads for others to become involved in the conversation. Additionally you can benefit from their input and feedback as they respond to your questions.

Questions:Statements ratio … I try to pay attention to the ratio I have regarding the “number of questions” I ask vs. the “number of statements” I make in the course of a conversation. Oftentimes, the higher the ratio is between questions and statements the more I learn and benefit from the conversation and I hope the same is true for others who I am in conversation with.

Like anyone who has kids know, that asking questions is an important part of growing up. But there is also the flip side to asking questions, as every kid who asks questions knows, that if you ask enough questions, you will come to a dead end. Some questions just don’t have an answer.

The safe questions are “What?” “Where?” “Who?” “When?” “How?”.

But “Why?” is a troublesome question. The other five are objective – more or less.

But Why can be subjective which means that no one answer will be satisfying.

How did World War I start? That’s easy. The reason was the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria. But that leaves us with an unsatisfactory feeling. But why? Why what? Why does it leave you with an unsatisfactory feeling? Or, why did the death of an Archduke have to lead to a world war? The latter.

And there starts a process of discovery that might still not lead us a satisfactory feeling of closure but at least we will have learnt that history could repeat itself because our questioning has not resulted in a resolution.

I get the feeling that I may not have given you a satisfactory answer. It’s not my fault. It’s because the question has a “Why?” in it.

Questions both test your knowledge of the subject and forces you to look deep into your mind so you understand what you don’t understand.
This is important for a lot of reasons.

This is why Richard Feynman tells people that they should be able to explain anything to a five year old, no matter how complex.

This forces you to understand what you are saying on a basic level.
This forces you to understand what you don’t know.
This can be mimicked by teaching it to someone else.
When you can’t explain something, you don’t know something.
When you read that point, you ask questions to fill in that gap.

Asking a question is always showing learning mindset of one. It’s shows He/she understanding the topic or conversation and one’s brain is parsing the information correctly.

But you need to be concious while you are asking questions. Avoid asking silly or nonsense questions. Asks logical questions and befor asking it we should parse the entire information what we had. Because sometimes we get the answer sometimes from it.

That’s why wise man said once. Be a good listener.

The aim of Critical Thinking is to promote independent thinking, personal autonomy and reasoned judgment in thought and action. This involves two related dimensions:

1. the ability to reason well and

2. the disposition to do so.

Critical thinking involves logic as well as creativity. It may involve inductive and deductive reasoning, analysis and problem-solving as well as creative, innovative and complex approaches to the resolution of issues and challenges. One of the significant aims of education is to produce learners who are well informed, that is to say, learners should understand ideas that are important,useful, beautiful and powerful. Another is to create learners who have the appetite the appetite to think analytically and critically, to use what they know to enhance their own lives and also to contribute to their society,culture and civilization. These two aims for education as a vehicle to promote critical thinking are based on certain assumptions.

1. Brains are biological. Minds are created. Curriculum is thus a mind-altering device.This raises the moral requirement to treat learners as independent centres of consciousness with the fundamental ability to determine the contours of their own minds and lives.

2. Education should seek to prepare learners for self-direction and not pre-conceived roles. it is therefore, essential that learners be prepared for thinking their way through the maze of challenges that life will present independently.

3. Education systems usually induct the neophyte into the forms-of-representation and real msof meaning which humans have created thus far.

4. Careful analysis, clear thinking, and reasoned deliberation are fundamental to democracy and democratic life.

On the basis of these considerations the capacity for critical assessment and analysis emerges as fundamental for enjoying a good quality of life.
