When did you first hear about Periods and from whom?

My mother told me when I was 12 i.e.2 years before I actually got it. She told me to just be careful and to not be worried if i spot blood.

What do you know about PCOD?

Not much except it is a hormonal thing that messes up with certain aspects of body and mood. Eg: excessive hair and mood swings.

Is PCOD treatable ?

I think with a healthy diet it is manageable.

Are women with PCOD unable to conceive ?

I am not sure. I don’t think it should be an issue. I haven’t done much research in this topic.

What is your idea of Work Smart ?

I think work life balance is importaint. I’ve been lucky to have mostly female bosses at work who I could be honest about and tell them that I have periods and they’d let me leave early or not show up to work. I think there has to be an easier way and I’d really like it if men did not take advantage of this and troll us. We shouldn’t be disrespected for wanting help/special treatment. I’ve had men laugh and say that I would get an admission into college anyway because I was a girl so i shouldn’t try hard. I wouldn’t want any harassment like this at work so I’d rather avoid it. But I hope the dialogue happens in a positive way.

I am interviewing a few people, to check how much awareness, they have about PCOD.

Through this campaign, I am not asking that women working in corporates need to be sent home early. I am simply saying that men and women, working in Corporates, need to be sent home early without completing their jobs. I am just saying that men and women need to work more effeciently, so that we are able to wind up our day earlier. Technically speaking, it is of no use, women reaching home early and men reaching home late, because the kitchen closes only when the last person has their meal at home.

It may seem a simple but illogical change at present, but together if we can bring this change, which is quiet possible in our society. It will bring a huge change in all of our lives.
